France West Coast - Calais to Avranches

We walked along the Boulevard de San Martin. This statue of San Martin explains something about his involvement in Argentinia in 1778 and the independence of Chile from France. He died in this city in 1850. I did 2 years French at highschool so that is what I think the plaque said! Anyway it was an impressive statue.
